Mexico World Showcase Machine Update

Sunday, December 30th, 2018

We had previously reported that the new 8-die machine replaced the 3-die machine in the Mexico World Showcase Pavilion at Epcot. The 8-die machine is where the 3-die machine used to be located but we didn't notice that the 3-die machine had been moved to near the entrance to San Angel Inn Restaurante. Both the new 8-die machine and the old 3-die machine are both available at Mexico World Showcase.

Stage 1 Company Store Quarter Machine Back On-Stage

Friday, November 9th, 2018

The Stage 1 Company Store quarter machine at Hollywood Studios that was removed the end of October last year due to the refurbishment of this store is back on-stage. This machine had a 2017 quarter design in it before being removed and Penny Collector showed that it was supposed to get a new 2018 design at the beginning of this year. Since this machine was no longer available the 2018 design that was supposed to go into this machine was placed in the quarter machine at All-Star Movies replacing a design with Mickey holding a movie camera. What was interesting with this design was that when this design was first placed on-stage July 2013 at the All-Star Movies resort it had the Disney's Hollywood Studios logo at the top of the design which we thought was a little strange since it seemed like this design should have been at Hollywood Studios. Also, the faceplate / header showing what this design looked like showed a dot border and there is no dot border.

Now that this machine is back on-stage it has the Mickey holding a movie camera die in it for the button "A" position and the other two quarter designs with Minnie and Belle are the same before the machine was placed off-stage. The faceplate for this machine also shows a dot border for all three designs and none of them have a dot border. I guess that shouldn't be a surprise since the previous faceplate for the Minnie and Belle designs also incorrectly showed a dot border.
