Both pressed penny machines at Duka La Filimu near the entrance of the Kilimanjaro Safari ride at Animal Kingdom are currently off-stage for refurbishment.

The Hall of Champions store at Magic Kingdom has been changed to Main Street Fashion Apparel. There are currently two pressed penny machines in this store. For years, this store was called Main Street Athletic Club. After the name of the store was changed to Hall of Champions, Disney's Pressed Coin listing continued to have Athletic Club, while we had the store name listed as Hall of Champions. Next month we will be updating our listings to correctly list the new store name. The latest Disney Pressed Coin listing has already made the change to the new store name.

The 4-die hand crank penny machine across from Pioneer Hall at Ft. Wilderness Resort & Campground is currently off-stage for repair.

We have just received a report that the single die quarter machine at the Main Street Railroad Station at Magic Kingdom is back on-stage.

ESPN Club at Disney's Boardwalk now has a machine with three new dies. All three designs are vertical with the ESPN Club logo at the top of each design. The designs are Mickey with thumb up holding a football, Daisy swinging a bat and hitting a softball and Donald twirling a basketball on his finger.

We have received a report that the Frontierland Railroad Station penny machine that was removed last week is already back. It still has the same three designs with Br'er Vulture, Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Bear.

We have been working on cleaning up some of the database problems with anniversary quarters. One problem encountered was with the 2001 Animated Film Celebration. Due to the way we were assigning catalog numbers many years ago with tying the designs with machines, four designs were assigned two different catalog numbers.

During this celebration, the Contemporary Resort had three single die machines. About a month after the new designs were installed, one of the designs at the Contemporary was swapped with a design at Wilderness Lodge Resort. Along with these dies being swapped, the other dies from the single die machines at the Contemporary were installed all together in a three die machine.

We could have just removed the four duplicate records, but then there would have been numbers missing and there would also be catalog numbers like 2001-25 which we thought would be confusing since there are only 21 coins in this celebration. We don't like doing this, but the catalog numbers have been changed for the 2001 Animated Film Celebration.

We have received a report that the three die penny machine under the Frontierland Railroad station at Magic Kingdom that contains Brer Vulture, Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear designs was removed. We'll post an update if we find out why this machine was removed.

When the ESPN Club single die pressed penny machine returns as a three die machine, the new designs will be a football, basketball and softball.

We recently reported that the ESPN Club single die penny machine at Disney's Boardwalk was removed for refurbishment. We have just heard that when this machine does return, it will no longer be a single die machine, but will be a 3 die machine. We will post something whenever we find out what the three designs are going to be.
